Caribbean music is always entertaining with ska and rock steady and calypso. Each of the genres are actually developed from each other so back to back they are almost the same except that perhaps there are some improvements on the latter. Reggae music originally developed in Jamaica in the 1960s and gained its popularity in the early 1970s. The music is an influence of ska and rock steady. Often reggae is played during swing time, the music is simple and Bob Marley is one of the lead Reggae artist that is so popular even until this day. Bob Marley promotes the faith of the Ratasfarian religion in his songs.
Johnny Nash and Jimmy Cliff both ventured into Reggae as well and successfully created their own base of fans and fantastic music for the world to share. Usually Reggae music address social issues such as povermty and politic. This is what makes it so unique than other types of music. While these Reggae songs seem harmless and very much useful in the world like this but some of the Reggae songs have gone too far by promoting the use of cannabis and similar drugs which is not tolerable. As such these songs are banned from certain locations but we can never deny that Reggae is definitely a very unique genre.
